The Quotable Winston Churchill, 2nd Edition, edited by Richard J. Mahoney with Shera Dalin and Audrey Mahoney, with a remembrance by Margaret Thatcher, and illustrations by Dan Martin. Hardback.

Legendary quotes from a legendary leader.

From the man who mobilized the English language and took it to war – and peace – comes this collection of maxims. This volume assembles some of the most memorable commentary from one of the world's greatest leaders. Winston S. Churchill is best understood through his own observations, comments, anecdotes, and witty repartee. The quotes represent a modern sensibility set in an American context for contemporary readers. They include some of Sir Winston's most famous utterances and some that give readers a glimpse into the endearing, compassionate leader of the United Kingdom during a period of intense strife. The collection also honors the creation of America's National Churchill Museum in Fulton, Missouri.

The second edition of this Museum bestseller contains new and authenticated material.

Witty and Insightful!
Written by George Mahn III on Dec 18th 2022

This selection of witty quotes by Sir Winston Churchill derives from many scenarios and not only offers an expansive view of his masterful diction, but also opens an insightful window into the soul of his unique character. I suspect that this collection will remain within arms reach on my bookshelf for a long, long time!

I have a 98-year-old friend who lives in Scotland. He was a commander in the Royal Navy and loves any reading material about Churchill. My hope is that, someday, he can visit his daughter, my friend who lives in St. Louis, so I can take him to the Churchill Memorial. I doubt that we would get him to leave! I bought this for him for Christmas.
